Things to do in February – Community College Districts

Important Administrative Things to do This Month for Community College Districts

(This “to do list” is intended to provide a synopsis of a few of the tasks normally started or performed during this month.  The list is obviously not exhaustive in nature and is designed only as a “reminder” to be supplemented by each Personnel/Human Resources Department’s specific duties.)

  • Review board policy/employment contracts and prepare board action regarding:
    • Reassignment of administrators
    • Transfer of administrators
    • Employee release and/or non-reemployment
  • Evaluate academic employees:
    • Review collective bargaining agreement and assist site administrators in the preparation and completion of remaining observations and evaluation reports
  • Evaluate classified employees:
    • Review collective bargaining agreement to ensure compliance
    • Review probationary classified employee evaluations
    • Review permanent classified employee evaluations
  • Ensure that board policy reviews and revisions are current
  • Review and organize classified, academic and management personnel files
  • Audit workers’ compensation claims
  • Continue to review and update classified job descriptions
