Joshua Taylor is an associate with Erickson Law Firm A.P.C. Mr. Taylor earned his Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in December of 2015. He graduated with honors and as a Senior Editor of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review. He earned his Bachelors in English from San Diego State University in 2006.
Mr. Taylor’s practice involves advising community college districts, school districts, charter schools, and district-affiliated research foundation clients on education law, employer-employee relations, employee disciplinary matters, and compliance with state and federal laws.
Prior to joining the Erickson Law Firm, Mr. Taylor maintained a general civil practice where he represented and advised clients on a broad range of issues including preparation for Small Claims proceedings, estate planning, personal injury, mediation and family law. Additionally, Mr. Taylor comes to Erickson Law Firm with over 12 years of experience as a community college classified professional. During his time in public higher education, he served as an elected member of the classified senate, acted as a union liaison, participated in strategic planning with various shared governance groups, volunteered as a member of a campus CERT team, and pushed his department to adopt more effective policies and procedures as program review lead writer. Mr. Taylor is an avid hiker, a novice backpacker, and a poor golfer.
